We were booked again for about a month pet sit with Monty!
Review:​
​​This was the second time that Wendy and Peter have looked after our dog, Monty. It was so lovely to see them again and have a catch up. They are like having friends to stay - so personable and easy to get on with. The house was clean and tidy and Monty was well looked after. He did mope a bit when they were gone. The last time they came, we had a few days with them both before and after our holiday, which was lovely. Unfortunately, they did not have long with us this time before they were moving on. However, we wish them well and wouldn't hesitate to have them back.

While in Monte Gordo, Portugal we applied for a short sit in a small town north-east of Ayamonte in Spain.

​Ayamonte is just over the Portuguese border (The Guardiana River) which can be reached from Vila Real de Santa Antonio by ferry in about 15 mins. Villablanca is about 15 min north and inland slightly, by bus from Ayamonte.

This was our very first pet sit, and you didn’t know what to expect.
Wendy and Peter were very friendly when we met them.
Asked lots of important questions and you could see straight away that they were organised and liked animals.
​They kept us up to date with events and even sorted out our dogs wounded paw.
The house was immaculate when we came home even washed bedding and towels.
I think they were amazing, caring thoughtful and very tidy.
​Nice people as well!

Peter and Wendy came to us for 6 weeks over the Christmas period of 2023. We had arranged for them to sit for us many months before and at all times, throughout the process, they maintained excellent communication, exchanging questions and information and even offered to extended their stay and change their dates to accommodate a flight change. Whilst we were away we shared lots of messages and photos so we were able to keep kept up to date with Mabel and their stay.

I can highly recommend Peter and Wendy as great sitters. They are a very nice, open and friendly couple. They are honest, trustworthy and thoughtful. They looked after Mabel with kindness and care and I think Mabel had grown very fond of them! They took great care of the house, left everything clean and tidy, bed linen changed on my return and the kitchen more than replenished with spices and food items that they had made use of - even a bottle of Prosecco.

I was very grateful that they were happy to stay in our village without the use of a car. I wish them all the best for their future travels and house sits - I would not hesitate to have them again.

We cannot praise Wendy and Peter enough. From the beginning, they have proved to be great sitters. Our dog, Monty, has a medical issue, recently discovered, which could have meant us having to cancel our holiday at short notice. Wendy and Peter were understanding and very willing to do anything they could to help. They arrived a few days before we were due to fly out and spent time getting to know our boy and the area, as well as the workings of the home. Our boy had to have a biopsy (benign) but needed a further scan and an op. They met with our vet and were very happy to take him to the scan whilst we were away and to do anything else that needed to be done. Whilst away, we had regular updates and photos. Fortunately, his issue did not impede his eating or juvenile activities - he's a lab, what more can I say!! Wendy and Peter are a lovely couple and from the first moment we met them, felt that we had been friends for a long time. In fact, Peter, bless him, did little jobs around the house that my husband has been going to do for the past year or so. He looked after our garden and even took cuttings so we had plants for next year. The house was immaculate when we got home and Wendy had found a small car belonging to our grandson that had been lost under our sideboard. They stayed with us for a couple of days after we got back and again, it was like having good friends to stay. Throughout our time together they 'mucked in' with us and it felt like we had known them for years. When they left for the next sit, we were sorry to see them go. Monty, did in fact, sulk and was quite moody for a couple of days.

We would not hesitate to have them back and would highly recommend them.

A lovely couple who looked after our diva extremely well. Would highly recommend this friendly, personable couple. They left our place immaculate. We also found treats that they had bought for Cassie! It was lovely to meet them prior to the sit.
We are so pleased they liked our place and the area, plus our lovely neighbours. Their communication before and during the sit was great. They are a caring couple who clearly took very good care of Cassie.

Peter and Wendy were excellent sitters for our 2 dogs. They were really communicative in the lead up to the sit and were clearly very passionate about the dogs. They are a lovely couple and they took excellent care of Bear and Skye sending us lovely updates during the 10 days we were away. They took really good care of the house which was spotless when we came back. We would highly recommend them and will definitely see if they are available again to sit for us for future trips.

Harley - Female age approx. 14. Wet and Dry Food. Rheumatoid Arthritis Chews.
Max - Male, longhaired black. Age: approx. 7. Wet & Dry Food.
Max got a cut from a fight and infection below ear which we cleaned, bathed and treated with antibiotic cream.
Basic - Send pics of pets to Hosts, Trash cans out, sweeping & vacuuming, keeping worksurfaces and gas hob clean as well as toilet and bathroom. Keeping an eye on peppers in garden and covering for frost etc. Bringing in mail and packages.

The Harrison's...just had them stay at our house for nine days in December.
They tended to our two cats, took care of the house, normal trash cans in/out, mail collection and kept an eye on things.
This worked out great for us so we could go and visit family out of state for Christmas.
House was clean and tidy on our return and we would definitely recommend them for a Pet/House sit!
